The face that made my day,

The one I shall always remember.

‘Tis impossible to find a needle in a stack of hay;

Till my body does time dismember.

A relief to all my sorrows and pain;

As nothing lasts forever in the cold November rain.
A smile brighter than the brightest days

Inside me a change mending my Hunnic ways.

Now as my eyes through the darkness glitter

With a joy both sweet and bitter.
The face now fades away,

In the darkness of hatred and betrayal.

Trying to forget but there’s no way,

Stretching to live on to see the day.

Now as my memory rests,

I can only hope, hope for the best.

Time: the greatest healer of all

Shall erect me till I stand tall.
